Comodo AV -v- AVG AV
Hi all
Has anyone used both?
I currently use Comodo for its firewall and AVG for the antivirus. Is it worth uninstalling AVG and switching on the Comodo AV?

I was using AVG with Zonealarm but switched to the Comodo package when it added the BOclean anti-malware program. No problems with it here.

I've got Comodo Pro installed, its pretty good, can be annoying as in learning mode, it wants permission to do everything..

Re: Comodo AV -v- AVG AV
I hated AVG, it let a password stealer through on my system and it wasnt until the passwords to a number of forums that i use were taken and my accounts used that AVG decided to inform me it was sitting in the system restore.
Ever since ive used Avast Antivirus and Comodo firewall.

Re: Comodo AV -v- AVG AV
The AV is slowly getting there but the bases.cav file (Signatures) is starting to get very big and for those on limited connection it is proving to be a pain.
A new family signature database is slowly being phased in which should help reduce the size of the downloads. There are a lot of people who go searching for Malware submitting to Comodo on a daily basis so they should be pretty good with new/in the wild stuff.
I know this because i`m a mod over at their forums so if anyone ever has a problem or needs some info just holler.
Very little can get past Defence+ if it`s used correctly best thing to do if your not sure with a pop-up is to block it without having "remember my answer" ticked.
At the end of the day no AV will catch everything, so having a couple of back up on-demand scanners is allways a good idea.
