Virus - Postcard

There seems to be widespread panic about a new major virus which can supposedly wipe your c drive - "Postcard" or "Postcard from a friend".

Has anyone heard of this and is it real or a hoax?

Re: Virus - Postcard

I have had a load of eCard's from a firend spam emails with most of them being a link, but there have been some EXE attachments which have tripped Norton giving PACKED GENERIC 232/243 results.. which is probably a simple spyware/adware package and nothing more

Re: Virus - Postcard

Whenever I get sent one of these so-called VIRUS warnings I Google it, 90+% of the time they are hoaxes just as StuartC says above!
