I would def not recommend PC Guard - it is a resource hog and has unsolved bugs relating to web page loading and access.

It works fine the new version 8 unlike the previous versions it may be just not compatable with your system it does happen.

Please dont use McAfee. Its one of, if not the worst security suite out there. There are many much better options such as Kaspersky, ZoneAlarm, PC Guard is good also but to much suprise i'd recommend Norton (2009+ editions) as its really light on system resources (its using only 6MB of memory) takes only 20 seconds to install and also doesn't require a restart like previous versions.

I'm using AVG for now, works fine and windows shut down is quick enough
