KIS 7 Error - Errr - HELP!

Afternoon,

I installed Vista SP1 yesterday and noticed that the Microsoft Security centre reported that the machine wasn't protected. I've had this before Kaspersky was running but was just being mis-reported. I thought I'd try and fix it by re-installing as that fixed it last time.

I now get the following error when reinstalling and it roll back the install which leaves Kaspersky in an unstable state...

Help!

OK - Tried removing using safe mode, but can't remove software in safe mode, so it was a no brainer - it had to be the dreaded system restore....

Restored back to last night, KIS reported the DBs were out of date - updated and it appears to be happy once again - even security centre is happy!

Re: KIS 7 Error - Errr - HELP!

I tried SP1 on second machine. Kaspersky was messed up as well as the SigmaTell sound drivers. I won,t try on new computer until this is sorted out. Microsoft say the drivers are the problem. If the machine is running OK until you install the service pack then it is the service pack that is suspect. There is too much said from Microsoft that everyone else is at fault. I did as you said and rolled it back.
George.
