Avast how to scan email & attachments

Hi - sorry if this is a stupid question but how do I check if Avast is scanning my incoming e.mails and any attachments? If it isn't doing so how do I make it happen?

Cheers as always

Re: Avast how to scan email & attachments

Are you using Outlook or Express?
Easiest thing is to double click on the "a" symbol next to the clock.
I think by default it scans Outlook/Express mail and also web mail.

You can terminate the scanning if you really wanted

Re: Avast how to scan email & attachments

Thanks for the reply! Sorry - as usual I didn't give enough information. I am using Avast home edition (free) v4.7. I have one ntlworld e.mail account linked to Outlook Express but hardly use that. Tend to log directly into my other NTL webmail or Hotmail accounts.

Have had a look at the Avast help section but it doesn't really help me.
