Having found my partners grandchildren were searching for things that they should not on the net, I decided to update my NTL security to Virgin as this has netguard as well...Thanks very much, now I find I have lost my antispyware unless I pay, I am disgusted, How can I revert back to ntl, I have tried system restore but it dont work,

Re: vigin netguard
I doubt you will be able to get it back, there are plenty of free security apps you could try instead.

Re: vigin netguard
Why don't you install Webroot Spy Sweeper for free? it usually costs £30 but with this special offer its free...

Even when it was netguard the antispyware was never supposed to be included for free (you were supposed to pay a fee to upgrade it if you didn't want to upgrade your speed) They just had few technical issues sorting out how to do it, so let everyone try it for free instead.
These issues were then fixed when it when to PCGuard (and tied it into the tier of your service)

Yeh, and its a Gateway IP, I'd allow those packets to be honest, as its not a direct link to another user.
Name: cpc3-leic1-0-0- gw.lei3.cable.ntl.com
Address: 86.3.24.1
BTW, Branson aint making no cash off Netguard, or PCGuard as its now known as.

Re: vigin netguard
Having found the Virgin product inferior to what NTL used, ie reboots on updates I have tried the free Avast antivirus and Zonealarm firewall. Up to now I am pleased with the switch.

Odd considering its the same product from Radial point, updated to support Vista (of sorts).
Still, I don't use it anyway, I value the security of my setup.
