Kaspersky Vs Norton
Which is the better of the two? But before we go back into the free Vs bought AV arguement. Can I say I prefer to pay for our AV.
Our Norton subscription runs out tomorrow, to which I was just going to renew. However, in W H Smith this morning, I noticed that they are giving away a 60 day free trial of Kerpersky with a 50% discount voucher for the full product.
Is it worth going for? As Norton has done us no wrong and hasn't been tooooo slow on our system.

Well, I can't really comment because I have never used Kapersky, but Norton always slowed down my computer so I switch to Zone Alarm. I have tried free ones out but ZA isn't very expensive and I prefer having one package for firewall, antivirus, spyware, junk mail popup blocker.....etc.

Norton is well known to slow computers down. I'd give the Kaspersky a try if i were you and if you like it check out the prices you can buy it for online as that may prove even cheaper.
Kaspersky along with NOD32 are considered to be 2 of the very best AV's.
Personally from years of experience i wouldn't touch Norton with a barge pole, same goes for Zone Alarm and Mcafee.

Any AV package has some slowdown effect, but Kaspersky is pretty reliable on this.

Try Steganos, it uses the Kapersky engine but is dirt cheap.

I have not tried kaspersky and have only heard good things about it.
I did have Norton and switched to AVG and its much better, (I also used avast which were a charm compared to Norton)

Kapersky came top in a Computer Shopper test btw.
In the test they took a sample of in the wild viruses and threw them at it, and see what happens.

Nod32 for years now, from what I hear Kaspersky is just as good. I have never a problem with Nod32, I refused a free copy of Norton when I got my last laptop, I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Been using Kaspersky for years since Norton got so bloated it slowed the PC right down.
I'd recommend it to anyone

I have used Norton & Mcaffee in the past & had nothing but trouble. I use Kasperspy now, never given me any problems.
