Trojan.win32.patched.

can anyone give me some advice how to blast this parisite into outer space and off my computer for good. it keeps showing up on every page and keeps asking me to download defender antispyware i have to continuosly keep cancelling to get back onto pages viewing. it keeps showing content i do not want my children to look at if they do not cancell. i have Norton 360 downloaded 3 weeks ago, they are asking for a fee of near £67 to try and take these trojans off, after i have just purchaced this product for my sons lap top, i wish i did not download it now, CAN ANYONE PLEASE ADVISE AS I AM NOW BACK ON MY BUDGET again for after Xmas, many thanks.

Sound more like spyware to me.
I'd personally give some of the "free" software a try.

Such as adaware, or spybotSD and AVG.

You could also try Trends Housecall which is a free AV online scanner.

thank you all who replied, i looked around the forum and noticed the link for computeractive which i used to purchace and a free AVG download i had a complete scan and it found 7 on my computer 3 were Trojans deleted 2 stored the rest in its vault. it has worked NORTAN 360 SYMATEC wanted to charge me £69 to do the same clean up. I will now be buying Computer Active again as a way of saying a big thank you. and to cable forum members THANK YOU for replying. i.e. when avg store these beasties in their vault do they stay like that or can you delete them altogeather from your pc.

well, AVG is free anyway, or rather, there is a free version, Spybot Search & Destroy is also free, as is Ad Aware personal, Avast, etc. and yes, you can empty the virus vault on any AV Software...
