Re: Spycatcher and Spyware Blaster - are they safe?
Haven't used either, but from what I can see they've both received mixed reviews.
A quick Google showed up a couple of links where some people are describing good experiences, and some describing very bad ones.
You're probably going to get more people recommending different products than you are reviews of these two programs, I suspect that's because there are more popular/efficient/well known products out there are the moment.

Re: Spycatcher and Spyware Blaster - are they safe?
Spycatcher isn't on their list. The 'Spyware Blaster' that they refer to is a known dodgy application, if the OP has the 'proper' one from JavaCool then it's a different thing.
Nice link though

That's it, there. Is that the correct one?

Re: Spycatcher and Spyware Blaster - are they safe?
I found something called protector.exe and after a few google searches I'm not sure about it. It was under spycatcher.

Re: Spycatcher and Spyware Blaster - are they safe?
Well, and I'm guessing so I could be wrong, that's probably part of the SpyCatcher program
Seriously, if you're going to use a spyware catching application then you really need to be sure that it's legit before you install it. It looks to me like you've installed SpyCatcher and now you're worried that it might be harmful.

Blaster can be used as an add-on to Spybot - I use both, no problems with either.

Unless the rogue is a clever clone which has also cloned the UI, then yes.
