Re: MSN Virus? Worm? Trojan?
No problem mate, this one should always be here on the board for future cases, so no worries

Re: MSN Virus? Worm? Trojan?
Well I had to run it mate, and sadly after about 20minutes it decided to begin again, seems to do it at random times.
So I uninstalled WLM totally, and removed all related files while in safemode, and run ccleaner and spybot and totally eradicated it I hope.
So here is crossed fingers I've sussed it.

Re: MSN Virus? Worm? Trojan?
I had this problem a few weeks back, I had to uninstall MSN and Everything included with it, Then ran HijackThis and Ad Aware and found it after a while. Then after I had deleted the Trojan. I reinstalled MSN. Thats how I got rid of mine Now its working fine

Re: MSN Virus? Worm? Trojan?
Well it turned out today that it was a normal trojan.
Basically my partner signed into her Windows account and as normal AVG begun it's scan and found a virus.
Leading me to believe that AVG etc could not scan into her personal documents area.

Re: MSN Virus? Worm? Trojan?
I was sent this trojan in a zipped file on MSN a couple of months ago. As I'm always suspicious of any unsolicited files, particularly zipped ones, I transferred it to my old laptop offline to see what it did when opened. AVG Free version 7.5 immediately picked it up.
But the worrying thing is the amazing number of people who do not have Anti-Virus software installed and also who will continue to knowingly run with the virus/trojan infection on their PC. The guy I received the trojan from knew his PC was randomly sending it to his MSN contacts, I got him to install AVG which removed it. I know of many other cases like this.

Re: MSN Virus? Worm? Trojan?
Thats the same advice I gave to everyone I know who uses MSN. Never ever agree to accept a Zip File Via it
