new virgin pcguard problems
i installed the new pcguard client last week and i am now on my 4th reinstall, when i reboot or start pc i get a message from pcguard that the antivirus has failed to start correctly and to reboot to fix , of course no amount of reboots fixes problem and have to reinstall. Never had any trouble with old pc guard. Anyone heard of this problem ...any ideas?

Re: new virgin pcguard problems
I had this problem and did get it fixed, I had to download a little tool. Give customer services a call, there (was) a PC Guard department to help out with this sort of thing.
Sorry I can't be more help, I can't use PC Guard anymore since they still haven't made it Vista compatible.

Re: new virgin pcguard problems
If i were you i'd ditch pcguard, as it is not very good at catching viruses, and is rather heavy on system resources.
PCguard is for me.
Best to go with avast or AVG.

Re: new virgin pcguard problems
1. Shut down PCguard by selecting PCguard then Exit.
2. Next, click Start and select Programs.
3. From the Programs menu, select PCguard then click Diagnostic Utility.
4. Click Next to start the tests.
5. If a problem is found, the utility will repair the problem itself.
6. If no problem was found, click the Repair Options, select Repair anti-virus and click OK.
When the repair is complete, restart PCguard.

Re: new virgin pcguard problems
Get rid of it, it's flaky and hogs resources.
If you need a firewall, Comodo is brilliant AND FREE
