Just installed it and ran a scan and since I last scanned my system an hour ago it's found 16 things that the old version missed  Seems quicker too

I agree much quicker still my system came up nice and clean again, I run Spybot 1.3 Adware and that Microsoft Anti-Spyware program daily.

Mine normally runs clean but I installed something yesterday that I knew would leave rubbish behind  All gone now though lol

ha, it only found 7 things, 6 of which were cookies and one which i had specified myself... the old version usually came up wth loads more!

I find that some of these antivirus programmes manufacture virus corruption artificualy [sp?] to make you install it.

that doesn't sound right, whichever way you look at it - that your old version used to detect loads of stuff on your computer - and that the new one does not
- have you used another program like spybot?
I just downloaded an update for my Webroot Spysweeper I bought a while ago & havn't been using, lately, as well - none of them found anything, thank goodness.
