New bugs in browsers

Not wishing to favour either FF or IE, looks like there are new bugs in both

A potentially far more serious unpatched security vulnerability affects unspecified versions of Microsoft’s Internet Explorer and Outlook software. The vulnerability "allows malicious code to be executed with minimal user interaction", warns security outfit eEye, which recently reported the bug to Microsoft.
It claims the FF bug is fixed, but I just did a 'Check for Updates' and nothing turned up. Their solution of disabling Javascript means you can't post in CF

The fact that it is less common is it's strong point as far as security goes.....

FF has an upsurge in users and then security problems, I wonder why?

Re: New bugs in browsers

Version 1.03 of FF is due out soon, but one security change may not be introduced in the release.

Re: New bugs in browsers

Mal's link actually points to http://weblogs.mozillazine.org/asa/archives/007898.html which has the location of the 1.03 installer.

Loaded it and it fixes the bug reported by Secunia.

According to my link, they're just release candidates, not the final release. So things may change before the final release.
