More Windows Critical Updates....
(LOL, seems like Zone Alarm wasn't the only thing to have an update posted today.)

I went on Windows Update earlier, & there were *5* new Critical Updates - all posted today (13/04/04).

One for Outlook Express: "Cumulative Security Update for Outlook Express 6 Service Pack 1 (KB837009)"

One for Internet Explorer: "Critical Update for Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1 (KB831167)"

And three for Windows XP: "Security Update for Windows XP (KB835732)", "Security Update for Windows XP (KB828741)" and "Security Update for Windows XP (KB837001)"


The usual critical "...this could allow a remote user to gain control of your computer". (or "whoops, we've found more holes/flaws...")

is anyone currently experiancing problems (at the time of this post) with the windows update site, i cannot connect, i tried to download the updates individually, but the site downloads at 4kb/s

must be the intense server load with everyone logging on :pp

My machine's automatic updates has just flagged up three critical updates for Win 2000, which it is now downloading. Appears to be going very slowly indeed tho.

r so it's not just me. I tried downloading 1 MB .pdf document the other day at 2/3k

So there is something wrong at the Microsoft side and its not just today

At the moment, if I try to use windows update, sometimes it reports a 'network fault' but usually IE just locks up so I have to ctrl-alt-del out of it!

My version of Xp came with Sp1 built in and I have just got on the Microsoft update now
