Here is the response I promised you via PM, thought I would post it in case it may be of some help to others.
From a known hijackthis expert, re your logfile.
the log looks clean except for this :-
If you want to keep
MessengerPlus but
didn’t
choose the option to refuse the advertising then please uninstall the copy you have then download
it again and when you get to the Sponsor Agreement select the option which reads,
’I Refuse,
do not install the sponsor program’.
