Personally though instead of shrinking the DVD I'd rip to divx/xvid, quality won't be any different but the files will be half the size.
Agreed, if the player is ok at playing them that's the way i would go there are free out there but i won't recommend one because they usually have a load of crapware attached to them ,i have nero installed which does the job for me
