No. Virgin media won't allow any ADSL providers to connect via their phone sockets.

All ADSL providers are not affected by virgin media broadband, as they use a BT socket.

If it were me I wouldn't hesitate to just run the ethernet cable. Not only because I find cabling fun, but it can be used for tons of other stuff.

Ultimately though I think this whole thing is paranoia. Baby monitors, microwaves, and neighbours with mobile phones will all give off the same or more radiation than wireless would in your home, and there's no real way of avoiding the latter.
