the uk has a bleak future because of now globalised markets, I spoken to a friend in eastern europe yesterday and he was telling me the average wage there is approx 200-250 euros month. In terms of anything that can be done at any location the uk cant compete and as such the private sector will never be able to grow enough to handle the public sector loss of jobs, this is probably why wasteful jobs were created. The sort of jobs that will stay here such as teaching and been a solicitior are not going to provide mass employment, they are specific skilled jobs.
In regards to the NHS I think it should be scrapped, ignition may be shocked to read me saying this, but I would either completely scrap the nhs and then pay the bills for low income people to use private health, or keep the nhs only for 999 services and anything else is privatised. The quality of nhs is so low now we may as well save some money. Of course doing this would skyrocket unemployment, thats probably the prime reason no government would dare do it. The problem with shrinking public services is it may help the ever shrinking workforce but everyone else is worse off.

Thats a hell of a statement
