thanks for your post. i think i have a BT NTE5 as there is a test socket inside. it is connected directly to the filter which is connected to the phone socket, no extra extensions.

i did try putting it in the test socket, the upload went up to 800 kbps but nothing else changed. i will try the other stuff tomorrow.
