Re: Sky Broadband

Don't worry about it. After just checking with my wife, it appears I'm talking out of my arse!

We did once drop a BT calling plan, but to save money, not because of Sky Talk.

When we switched to Sky Talk Freetime, we stayed on (& still have now) BT's free weekend plan, as it's BT's lowest call plan that doesn't charge extra on top of the line rental.

So, yep, don't worry: You can have the BT weekend thing *and* Sky Talk Freetime.

One thing though which my wife just mentioned: If you want Caller ID you'll have to pay. Apparently, we previously had Caller ID for free because all our calls were charged via BT. Now that we are on Sky Talk Freetime, however, calls are charged via Sky, which means it isn't possible to get BT Caller ID for free, as it's not possible to make the required 2 chargeable calls per quarter (or something like that). So we just pay BT for Caller ID... (although apparently you can get it via Sky instead if you want, but Wifey says it costs the same).
