Eudora shouldn't be a problem, from what I remember of using it. You do need to follow the set-up instructions for the new VM Mail service, especially the bit about signing in to the smtp server to send email now. They're somewhere on the Help or FAQ sections of the VM website.

There are plenty of free replacements for outlook express - Windows Live Mail client from Microsoft; Thunderbird from Mozilla; etc. But they'll all need the new set-up.
