No Xaccers I'm sure sure you are well aware what I am and everybody else who has posted a similar response means, what your claiming is pure semantics, there were countless countries who had a relationship with Britain in 1940 but by no stretch of the imagination could they have been called partners in a war they didn't participate in.
I honestly wonder if you would have been a quarter this vociferous in your defense had this been Blair or Brown? because I can categorically say I would be saying exactly the same had it been either of them.
