How do Vodafone give you your PAC code? Is it via a text?
When I have received the PAC code all I have to do is call Orange and they will transfer my exisiting Vodafone number to their network? How long does it normally take?
Is this correct?
Do Orange give you free credit for switching?
When I receive the Orange SIM card do I put it into the phone straightaway and accept the settings? Or do I call Orange from another phone with my PAC code and they will tell me when to insert my new Orange SIM card?
Thanks

Ring Vodafone on this freephone number 08080-945-945 it deals with number porting and nothing else. It will give you a PAC code, then ring Orange on 0800-079-0006 and the automated service will ask you if you would like a new Orange number or if you would like to activate an Orange sim card and keep the number you already have, they will then transfer you to human being most likely in india who will take the PAC Code and your personal details and activate your sim. Upon activation and registration, you will recieve £1 free credit from Orange.
If you are moving to an Orange contract or Pay Monthly Service plan of any kind then your sim pack will have an activation website link or a telephone numbers in your Sim pack.
