you can use the new orange sim straight away (with a new number) ... call vodafone, get the pac code ... pass the pac code onto orange along with the sim card number (not your orange mobile number) orange will send you some texts once the transfer is complete, your orange number will no longer work, you will now have your old vodafone number on your new orange sim .... proccess takes about 5-7 days from when orange get the pac code
