Reason for asking is I can't get the page to load due to high demand I would imagine.

Message below which has a Fix My Email button.

Hello

This information is important if you use an email program like Outlook Express, Windows Mail or Thunderbird to access your email.

Due to an upgrade to our email service, you need to make a few small changes to make sure your email program keeps working. We have created a tool to do this for you automatically, or you can make the changes manually if you prefer.

Running the tool here only takes a few seconds, and you don't need to stop what you're doing or re-boot your PC. However, you need to be on your home PC for these changes to take effect in Outlook Express, Windows Mail or Thunderbird. Making these changes will ensure that you won't have problems sending and receiving emails in the future, when we switch off some of our old email systems.

Want to check this is a genuine email?

It’s always a good idea to keep an eye out for internet fraudsters. Check this is a genuine email from us by going to virginmedia.com, visiting the Help area via the link at the top right of the screen, and under Hot Topics you will find a link to Email settings change.

These changes are related to the launch of a new service, Virgin Media Mail, based on Google technology, which is now available to anyone who has a virgin.net, ntlworld.com, blueyonder.co.uk or virginmedia.com email address. Take a look on our website for more information.

Find out more

You can also find out a bit more about it before running the tool here. We recommend you check out this information if you don't use Internet Explorer as your main browser, if you use a mail programme other than Outlook Express, Thunderbird or Windows Mail, if you use a non-personalised blueyonder username such as at003c6326, or if you would prefer to follow manual instructions rather than running the tool.

The Virgin Media Mail team
No wonder I feel depressed each time I visit this forum, I got this email with a "fix email" link and when I click the link I just get a web page with manual instructions. Where's the tool then?
