The £28 price mentioned, as with almost all prices Virgin currently advertise is after discounts

Before the change XXL was £35 after discounts (£52 - at least £17 discount) which was £15 more than XL @ £20

After the change XXL was £28 after discounts (£45 - at least £17 discount) which is £8 more than XL @ £20

So the reduction was £7

Obviously if you have the wrong discount in the first place then it doesn't work out as it should
