[Halcyon]

Hello!

Many months ago I posted in this topic that I needed a DSLR camera and so far havent bought one.
Well now is the time for me to look into getting one again and I would really appreciate everyones help.
Firstly, I want a camera that comes with a zoom good for day to day use. I also want a lense for close ups of aircraft. (Imagine being on the opposite side of the runway and you want a close up clear shot).
Out of Nikon and Cannon what best fits my needs and is one better than the other?

I am unsure about prices at the moment. I dont want an entry level camera but something I can play around with and expand over time. So something half decent.
