They tried parallel screws with deep threads, but this thermal block is so soft that it crumbled immediately. I suggested injecting some sort of filler into the holes in the blocks, but they just built a freestanding unit to hold the TV in the end.

Other neighbours (who have the same problem) have hung their flat screen TV's from ceiling rafters with steel wires... looks very professional too!

Apart from the trailing leads of course......
