I shall finish off posting in this thread by stating what everyone else has been telling you. The price you see for ADSL never includes a land line cost but you have to factor that in to the monthly total cost.

However VM cable modems don't need a land line so the price you see is what you pay. It has nothing to getting it cheaper its just showing you that you don't need to pay anything else on top.
