Unfortunately even with notes it is unlikely any company would disclose they exist and at best would probably say they will send the agent for "retraining" if anything did come to light. Afterall this agent as closed the deal which is what the company wants so they are unlikely to penalise thenm due to the effect it could have on the rest of the sales staff. I now take any sales as dishonest and unless i have something already in writing for a deal i insist that they confirm they send you it in writing. Only Scottish power has done this for me in the recent past if a company does not i just move on and find another.

Your only hope would be a possible group action if enough people were promised this deal that does not exist. It would be a lot harder for them to dismiss it rather than just a one off allergation.
