I know! It's almost as if only 1/20th of the population of the UK live there and the two most populous cities have populations of less than 350,000 and less than 240,000 respectively giving it the most expensive population in the UK to cover along with the lowest economic output per head in the Union and a lower take up of more expensive broadband services.

It's nothing personal, just business. My own extremely affluent and densely populated area of London isn't there either. In fact my entire Borough isn't there despite having the highest self-employment rate in the UK, lowest benefit claimant count, and a gross value add / economic output per head nearly double that of Wales.

I am not sure exactly what the criteria are, however I do know that service providers have a lot of input and evidently not that many are particularly interested in Wales as evidenced by the low LLU rate there. If there were money to be made the ISPs would be all over BT to build the network to help them make it.
