Its very true! I'm just organising a huge event next Wednesday for World COPD Day in a local hospital where we will be checking the lung function of both smoking and non-smoking 35+ year old people. The idea is to show how smoking has an effect on health even though it may not be evident until later on in life. In one of the areas I work in (St Helens), there are approximately 9000 undiagnosed people with COPD - our aim is to reduce this.

I'm really glad your health is looking up now and congratulations on quitting smoking as well
