I have tried turning it off for 5 mins, and turning it back on holding the eject button. That sounded like it's doing things, but it still didn't eject.

Any ideas?
my surround system does the same thing[wont open dvd door] if i put a little pressure on the top of the unit it opens ,i can actually feel the correct place by pressing eject and feeling the casing [i feel the mechanism trying to eject]
the problem on mine is caused by warping of the plastic parts of the disc mechanism due to over heating in the past .
