Silverstone want more guarantees about their contract, but by the sounds of things Bernie's not giving it to them. The problem there is that if Bernie does say "sorry Donington, you've had your chance", then they've not only wasted the opportunity, but they've got no MotoGP, no F1, a building site, no money, and no track to race on. Better they build the bloody thing first and worry about money later. There's plenty of time to find money after the work's been done.

Silverstone could host it for 3 years guaranteed, then Bernie can re-open negotiations with Donington and/or Silverstone about hosting rights.

Better yet, why not Brands Hatch? All it needs is run-off extended in a couple of places and it'd be perfect!
