Yep. If he has been negligent then that needs addresses, no need to call for the maximum sentence before the facts are known though.

Derek,why do you feel the need to justify,well,yourself really....? You haven't done anything wrong!

It seems a few people here vent their frustration about the law through you.Let them be,I think the police get far too little support and are either held accountable or are undermined by politicians,and all too often,the general public.Yes ,relations between the cops and the public are somewhat strained,but that's due to stupid laws,target culture and maybe Chief Constables too eager to please their political paymasters,imho.
Anyway,if the PO did wrong,then he should be (appropriately) punished,if not,then not.
Just wanted to show some support here for a bloody hard job that very few people appreciate and that gets far too little recognition.
