Talk Talk - Echolife HG520 Flashing ADSL Light Issue

Hey there, thought i'd post here as a lot of you have a better idea than I do when it comes to router issues / ISP issues.

The girlfriend is having a bit of a recurring problem with her connection - she's with Talk Talk (a bad choice, I know ).
Problem is that the wireless connection doesn't seem to be working - direct connection to the router via Ethernet seems to be fine but wireless is giving no dice. The only thing that seems to change between the wireless working and not working is the ADSL light on the router blinking when not working, and being a solid light when it is working.

It seems pretty inconsistant, nothing seems to be changing really.
She can connect to the router via IE on 192.168.1.1 and can access all of the attenuation information, which seems to be 0/0 ? I don't really know very much about this myself, so excuse the shared ignorance on this one.

Have tried the simple stuff, ipconfig /release /renew, disconnecting the power for a minute or two, restarting the laptop in question.

Any ideas? I know that there aren't many Talk Talk experts here, but any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Dan.

She's given talk talk a ring, got some advice to change the microfilter, and they're gonna send out a self-help CD to help. Apparently the dude on the phone was pretty helpful but I'm not holding my breath over this self-help CD... sounds like a widespread issue from some googling, not happy.
