EDIT: I'm using the dell Driver & Utilities disk, and i need to seperately install everything that it is saying is not already on the system. I will tell you if it works.
EDITx2: I fixed it! Woot! I just needed to install the network thing drivers. Thanks for yur help along the way though! Now, It's time to set up my network.

It is quite a common error that many people make and not always so easily solved by having the restore disk to hand, nice one
