Its a shame as the picture quality of the HD version of the football is so so so much better than the SD varient.

ITV HD is a seperate channel and can therefore be scanned and saved on a non sky sat receiver
the frequency is

Thanks for that, Solventcandy. I had hoped that some techie might have come up with a workaround.

Quite a few cards use this "FEC - autodetect" feature and permit users to input other technical data e.g. Video PID,Audio PID which unfortunately seems to be not possible on the SKY box unless there is a hidden menu somewhere.

I'll just have to hope that the IT Guys at SKY come up with an update that permits this to happen, which would obviate the need to buy a separate FreeSAT box.
