Hi again. just to say still not working but ive brought a proper HDMI lead with the HDMI logo which cost me £29,99p. So going to try that tonight

Also ive found out that something in my PC is one of its chip sets i think is a Asus and i noticed in the updates that my graphics card driver had ASUS EAH3870X2 Series on it but it wasnt installing it said failed all the time. So i went to Asus web site and downloaded the Asus EAH3870X2 series driver for my PC and installed instead of the driver from the main ATI web site. Ive even got a instruction book from my PC when brought about asus. But i find it complicated so ive not touched anything apart from downloading the ASUS ATI driver from there site. Its working but is this the right thing todo or should i download from the main ATI site.
