You haven't got any software that prevents the java from loading on the sites because that's what used to happen with me through firefox when i used noscript.....it used to load the page but never the countdown until I let the software access the site.
Try checking security software and things like that?

Hiroki you answered my problem mate..A big thanx. I do use firefox and noscript, i never clicked on that noscript was blocking it because i always get asked by noscript for each site to allow or not and although i thought noscript had been set by me for these sites it seems i had not.
So again thanx bud much appreciated for the answer to my problem..VM are of the hook i guess.
