And if he does 12,000 miles a year, at current prices he'll be spending at least £1,500 on fuel, if not considerably more. Plus the usual maintenance and insurance costs. It's still a deal well worth having if you can get it. I'd go so far as to say the job with the car is worth it for the car alone.
