I disagree to a degree. The ways to avoid phorm are far more inconvenient and will probably hinder internet speed.

The idea is still bad, but implementing it on an open source software level is safer and less of an obstacle to avoid. Saying that given the paranoid nature of most open-source activists I can't see this idea getting off the ground.
