Had this a while ago, quite a few people were "done" in the Scunthorpe area !!!
Some like you, whilst they were out of the country.....CS told myself and the others that WE DID make the calls, which were to a porn line !!!!! (my friends 70 yr old mother wasn't too happy about being accused of that lol ) Most of the calls were just for Â£1.50 at a time, and were listed as FIXED FEE CALL, so most people didn't even think anything of it at start, until I kicked off. Do a search, and see if the number comes up on google etc.....

Eventually got in touch with the local paper, who got in touch with the Executives office at Virgin, and we all ended up having FREE premium rate call barring added to our accounts.I also got hold of trading standards who were very interested about it too.

As far as I am aware, they were investigating it further with their fraud dept because is was a much larger problem than they had originally thought, and couldn't give out too many details because they didn't want the people doing the scam, knowing that virgin were onto them etc etc

So, do like I did and just mention it around friends/family and see if anyone else has been done. If so, phone your local paper and trading standards and let them sort it.
