They are not.

The service fee was brough in the V+ fee was £150. so it was £50 cheaper for an existing customer than a new customer to get on the reduced pricing

Quite a lot of V+ customers who got it before June 2007 never paid anything for installation or paid £25

Also the V+ service fee would pay for itself in 10 months or less, as if you don't pay it you remain on the pricing structure you took out, which as I said, could be either £10 or £15 per month for the V+ subscription

The old pricing structure was designed by Telewest when they launched the TVDrive.
