So Sky do have more viewers/custmers than VM but only just considering they have more coverage of the UK.
I think. It's very hard getting like for like between the two seeing as they both provide slightly different services.

Hold on, its a bit harsh to say that i didn't give an answer for a question which had no basis for reference.
I never tried to answer the question because the question was unqualified.

How is it embarrassing for Sky One exactly?
Take into account that you can only get Sky One on Sky and yet Virgin one is available on both Sky, Virgin AND freeview (i am lead to believe) and a slightly different picture appears.
In your rush to prove how bad Sky are you didn't even stop to think about what you were saying.
Again.
How embarrassing for Mick.

It looks like Sky 1 is currently getting about 3.9% of the viewers watching it daily, for an average of about 12 minutes a week, Virgin 1 gets about 3% daily and 9 minutes.
Total weekly viewing figures are even closer at 7.4million/14.8% for Sky 1, and 6.9million/13.8% - I suspect Sky 1 is probably spending considerably more per viewer than V1 for their respective audiences.

Its all in the detail, if you look at the monthly viewing figures for March and April (
here) you will see that in the same period Sky One had roughly double the viewing figures than Virgin one for the same period of time despite being limited in the platforms its broadcast on.
Hopefully this answers Incogs question a little bit more thoroughly now i have some facts to work with too.
