My kit is an vm(ntl)255 modem. For the wireless i use the Netgear Router provided with the Virgin Media Wireless Kit. I also (Stupid me...) installed the software with the wireless kit. Things were okay, i could surf the net, play a game, until...

I start up steam, look for a server to play Team Fortress 2 on, and suddenly my internet goes off the moment I press "Refresh". Me, thinking this is just a hiccup, reset the modem and router respectively. Then I notice it's not a hiccup. It does it again, and again, and again. I'd very much like to play the games I paid for, and something here has messed up. I've not changed anything in any way to cause it to do this. Here's a ping test and trace route.

I also have the XL Package and my computer is bug free and has had everything turned off.
This is to do with the MAX connections on your router, Im guessing this ONLY happens when you just refresh the WHOLE server list instead of just a few? It will refresh a few servers then your internet seems to dissconect? IE cant load webpages etc...

Its the memory they put in routers if its hardly any memory then it will have a smaller max connections...

Either connect it directly to your PC from your modem or get a decent GAMING router.
