Apologies in advance if I've got the wrong end of the stick here, but I think what might might be happening is when you turn on your DVD your TV displays that, and you can no longer see the V+ information. What you then need to do is keep pressing the AV input button on your TV remote untill you can "see" the V+ again and then tell it what to do. Hope that makes sense!
