have you firstly checked that it can stream divx, i dont think it can as i have a 360 but dont use the media functions as i use me pc instead.

secondly does the vm version of xp have the media centre if it doesnt that will be your problem there, as the 360 is a media centre extender and requires media centre, on the pc and then also a add-on installed on the pc to allow them to connect to each other.

i am assuming you have them connected through a router?

i got mine to work with vista when going through a router but only after downloading the add-on, and then going through the set up process. hope this helps
