Probably better off trying to figure out what's wrong with your current OS install. I have Vista Enterprise running on a T2300 with 2Gb and works a treat.
It has not been as speedy as xp since I bought it and I have installed extra ram in to try help. I really don't like the way that the network menus have been implemented and it makes me feel like I'm an noob when sorting things out. This is especially frustrating as I know xp networking inside and out.

I think I'll probably drop back to xp pro perhaps giving a clean install of sever 2008 a quick trial although I did install it on an older p4 machine but could not get the drivers for the network card or the wireless card to work.
