Re: What OS to install?

I used to run vista ultimate 32 and then 64 on my Toshiba laptop.
The 64 performed much better (although both were the "dell" naughty versions as I was just evaluating them, yes, that's right...)

So, with my new quad core pc I took advantage of the low OEM price from Scan (£104) and went with V64 ultimate.
Hmm, so far it's nice, but it's still a pain in the backside.
Can't turn off the driver signing insistance thing, so the on the fly overclocking software that came with my MSI board won't install, vmWare server (one of the reasons I went for a powerful PC) doesn't want to work, so frankly it's been a dissapointment, and is going to be hard work (unless Zing can come up with a known solution) if at all possible to get things working how I want them.
Course having the matrix dropping down as my wall paper is nice.

I think that V32 ultimate doesn't insist on teh driver signing, so is somewhat more friendly.
Ho-hum.
